Colleen E. Ganey is currently living in the Washington D.C.
area.  In 1986, she was diagnosed with a neurological
disorder which has left her paralyzed from the neck down.

Colleen's limitations necessitated a search for new ways to
remain active, and to express herself.  She began painting for
the first time with a mouth stick in 1989.  Self-taught, her
artwork has become a primary outlet of emotional expression.

Colleen expresses her renewed love of nature in her series of
botanicals, which are reminders of her time spent in the
mountains of Tennessee, where wildflowers flourish.
